From the laboratory of Strauss and Hafner that produced pills, tablets, ointments and also sold chemicals and narcotics, in 1922 a joint stock company for the production of chemico-pharmaceutical preparations and sales of narcotics and chemicals was founded.
Over the years, the pharmacy became a drug factory and the growth and development trend continued throughout the years that followed.
At the beginning of 1948 Medika was organized exclusively as a wholesale drug company and all other departments were formed as independent enterprises.
In this long-standing period, a few times it changed its name as well as ownership structure, but development and progress were always constant.
Then, as well as today, Medika has grown, developed and integrated with pharmacist activities.
